Race at Tamarack

My little sister Darcy and I decided to run the Tamarack 10k over Memorial Day weekend. It was so fun! We got so lost trying to find the start line, it was quite an adventure. But we ended up finding everyone. The trail was so beautiful and it was perfect weather for running. After the race we hung out at Tamarack for awhile.
The race was a benefit for the Make A Wish foundation. The Make A Wish kid was there, an adorable 7 year old girl. Her wish was to have breakfast with all of the Disney Princesses. She got to go to Florida with her whole family to have her wish granted.

We asked one of the volunteers to take our picture at the finish, he was a funny man, who made us pretend to be crossing the finish line for our pose. We were standing on one foot for like five minutes as he tried to figure out the camera!

Home sweet home after a fun day trip.

Why Not?

I know most people spend their Hawaiian Honeymoon on the beach sipping pina colada's and feeding each other slices of pineapple. But we are not most people. We were thinking, how many times are you in Hawaii, on your honeymoon, when the maui half is going on? Really, what are the chances? We've done the Robie Creek half marathon so many times that we were burnt out on it this year. And we've done the Sawtooth Relay (best race ever). So, as long as we're going to be in Maui, we might as well run that race too. Right? Sure! So atleast now we'll have an excuse on the monday after to be laying on the beach sipping pina colada's!

The course is so beautiful, it's along the ocean the entire time. We both think it should be pretty easy. We're used to Robie Creek, which is 8 miles straight up, and 5 miles straight down at a high elevation. In Maui the course is flat and at sea level. Another bonus is, training for a race always gets your body in nice shape for bikini's!!

Only 100 days left

Today is May 17, 2007 and our wedding is only 100 days away! It's so exciting. All the planning is nearly done so we can just relax and enjoy our summer. We are looking forward to all of the fun parties we'll be having to celebrate.

James and I are getting ready to take our dance lessons with our good friends the Houstons. My little brother emailed me to tell me he's been working on his moves by watching Napoleon Dynamite. I can't wait to see that!
We are so excited to share this moment with our friends and family.

Girl's Trip

Our Girls Trip to Scottsdale.....
A bunch of us girls decided last minute to hop on Holly's plane and jet set to Scottsdale. It was a blast! And hot too, which was a nice change since we had a second blast of cold weather in here in Boise. Lots of laying by the pool, shopping, and my favorite thing for dinner....an In & Out Burger!!!

View from the plane, beautiful blue skies.
See me, I'm flying!
In the limo on our way to the condo.Laying by the pool.
What a great weekend!
